    Dear friends,

We are only 52 days into session and yet so much progress has been made for the citizens of Texas. Every day my colleagues and I are fighting hard to make sure that we keep Texans first. I want to thank each and every one of you who have come down to Austin to visit our office and meet with me to discuss how together, we can make our District and our State even greater.

This session I have been able to file the following Bills:

HB236– Relating to the creation of the Fiscal Risk Management Commission has been referred to the Appropriation Committee.
HB422– Relating to the enforcement of certain federal laws regulating firearms, firearm accessories, and firearm ammunition within the State of Texas has been referred to the State and Federal Power and Responsibility Committee.
HB459– Relating to zero-based budgeting for certain entities funded by this state and submission of a zero-based budget has been referred to the Appropriation Commit

HB815– Relating to the prosecution of the offense of online solicitation of a minor has been referred to the Criminal Jurisprudence Committee.
HB962– Relating to the regulation of the amount of installed electric generation capacity has been referred to the State Affairs Committee.
HB1901- Relating to the withdrawal or withholding of life-sustaining treatment from a pregnant patient.
HB2531– Relating to the regulation of abortion procedures; providing civil penalties; affecting the prosecution of a criminal offense.

It takes dedicated citizens at every level of government to ensure that our Texas values and way of life are maintained and defended. Local elections matter more to your day to day life than federal or statewide elections ever will. Please take a moment to look through the upcoming list of those running in the local elections on May 9th.

Our office is excited to get things rolling. With the bill filing deadline quickly approaching,  my team and I have been hard at work preparing for the battle on the house floor.  We are ready to hit the ground running with all the momentum that has been created here at the Capitol and are looking forward to representing House District 93 in the coming weeks!

I am very excited about what is going to happen this session with your help. Please be sure to like us on Facebook and follow our Twitter account to get more updates from the Capitol.
